The video shows four men entering the store and ordering customers and employees to get to the ground. It also shows a suspect forcing a youth to the ground. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, while the others carried baseball bats.

While in the store, the suspects struck an employee in the shoulder with a bat and smashed a glass display case. The suspects took jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

The suspects are described as 4 black males, wearing dark clothing.

Be sure to try and view the video full screen; here are some things to look for:

• Around the :16-second mark note how some enterprising, hardy neighbors put two bar stools out to sit and enjoy the weather!
• Around :38, the road either gets plowed, or perhaps shoveled…?
• Around :48, there’s proof that the storm didn’t stop the Postal Carrier.
• Toward the end someone left a plant watering can out.

Pay special attention to what happens around the :36 second mark – note the sudden, dramatic shift in the clouds, changing rather suddenly as if its a “tide” of sorts.

Also watch the pilings in the foreground and try to determine how many different seagulls there are.

Then look for another change around 1:08 when the sky clears up, but you can see two variations of wind/cloud variations flowing:

This year's trophy winner, Isaac Chrisman

Once again the weather cooperated and a great crowd of locals showed up to plunge themselves into the cold Puget Sound water.

We counted at least 38 participants before we lost track, so we’re sure the actual number is higher.

Our own Bart Bryan once again mustered the courage to participate. You might remember that he took home the “Three Tree Point Polar Bear Plunge” trophy last year.

This year Bart passed the trophy on to young Isaac Chrisman, visiting from Idaho with family here in town.

We covered the event from multiple angles with video cameras in the water and on the shore. We’ll have the video ready to post a little later.

Early Friday morning (Dec. 2), a crime was committed in Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood – what appears to be a young man smashed up a parked car in the 16500 block of Maplewild, causing over $2,000 worth of damage.

The victim, Rob Halpin, initially posted info and surveillance camera video to the Three Tree Point Yahoo Group. We saw his post and asked if we could perhaps help by spreading the info and video to a larger audience.

Rob gives the details of the crime:

• At 4:55am on Friday, Dec. 2, a dark-colored Honda Fit carrying at least two people pulled up and stopped in the 16500 block of Maplewild Ave SW.
• What appears to be a young male wearing tightly-fitting clothing got out of the passenger side of the car and hit the driver’s side of a parked car twice, smashing the window of the parked car and causing dents.
• Right after smashing the window, the young male got back into the Honda Fit and sped off in a southerly direction on Maplewild Ave.
• The young male made no attempt to look inside or take anything from  the car.
• Burien Police came (Deputy Garskye) and looked at the car. They didn’t offer an opinion on the cause of the crime.

So…we’re asking our Readers if they recognize the vandal suspects or their car from the following videos; the first one shows the crime from a nearby security camera (around the :20 mark), while the second shows a clear shot of the suspect vehicle as it drives away:
