The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a man celebrating his 21st birthday was critically stabbed, and another man shot Tuesday night (May 24th) during a bar fight outside the Wah Long Sports Bar in Burien.

Both victims ended up at Harborview Medical Center.

The shooter is still at large.

The incident began about 12:20 a.m. at the Wah Long, located at 15220 Ambaum Blvd SW. Several patrons got into an argument inside the business, which escalated into a fistfight involving four people outside in the parking lot. At some point during the fight one participant was stabbed several times with a knife.

Next one of the persons involved in the fight ran over to a parked car, pulled out a handgun, and fired several shots. One of the people in the original fight was hit and he collapsed. The shooter, stabbing victim, and others piled into the car and the vehicle sped off.

Sheriff’s deputies and Burien Police arrived about 45 seconds after the 9-1-1 call, and Medics a short time later. Meanwhile, the getaway car dropped off the stabbing victim and his sister at Highline Medical Center and then left immediately. The victim was transferred to Harborview.

The injuries suffered by the shooting victim, a 33-year old Burien resident, are not believed to be life-threatening. However the injuries to the 21-year old stabbing victim are. He is from Burien also.

There have been no arrests.

It was one year ago today (Nov. 12, 2009) that Mark Ebinger, 25, was stabbed and killed outside Good Time Ernie’s in Burien.

Far as we know the suspect is still at large.

We also believe there is still a $10,000 reward being offered by the Ebinger family, along with Crime Stoppers, for info leading to the arrest of the murderer.

“I was just scared, and was trying to get away,” Peter said. He also added that Mark was “kind of far away” from him in the parking lot at the time of the attack.

Peter also added that “someone else had words with one of the guys in the other group…” and he had no idea what was said, but is certain that the attacker(s) were in that group.

Once outside, “one guy came up in my face and tried to take a swing at me and another guy hit me from behind,” Peter continued. “I got stabbed probably six or seven times in the back…”

The family of deceased Burien man Mark Ebinger (pictured, left), 25, who was stabbed to death outside Good Time Ernie’s last November, has increased the reward offered to $10,000 in hopes of generating tips that will lead to an arrest.

Regarding Mark’s death, Peter said: “It happened real fast and he didn’t feel much pain…”

The investigation is still ongoing.

“We know that someone out there knows something, saw something, or has heard something,” said Jim Laing. “…and that information might seem insignificant to them but it could be the information that cracks this case and we’re appealing to anyone who has any information to come forward.”

Laing continued: “No homicide case is ever closed until it’s closed, and this will remain open until it’s solved.”

It must’ve been the absolute toughest Christmas ever for the Ebinger family of Burien, as they had to celebrate without their son Mark, 25, who was fatally stabbed outside Goodtime Ernie’s Nov. 12th.

On Monday (Dec. 28th), the family held a press conference at the King County Sheriff’s office in downtown Seattle, where they offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in the fatal stabbing.

Mark Ebinger was just 25 when he was killed outside Goodtime Ernie's Nov. 12th.

The King County Sheriff’s Department alerts us that Peter K. Ebinger, 24, the brother of Mark K. Ebinger, 25, who was the victim of a fatal stabbing at Burien’s Goodtime Ernie’s last month, will hold a press conference on Monday, Dec. 28th.

Peter, 24, will offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed his brother, who was 25.

We’ll have a Reporter and Photographer on the scene Monday and will give a full report next week.

Here’s the text from an email we received from Sgt. Jim Laing:

On 11/12/09 at approx. 1.45 AM a large group attacked two brothers outside Good Time Ernies in Burien. Both brothers were stabbed several times and one died at the scene.

The deceased was identified as Mark K. Ebinger. His brother, Peter K. Ebinger spent several days in hospital but will recover from his wounds.

Detectives believe there are witnesses who have not come forward and that these witnesses have information that would help the investigation.

On December 28, 2009 at 1.30pm Peter Ebinger will speak to the Press and offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed his brother.

The Press Event will be held in Sheriff Rahr’s office, King County Courthouse, 3rd and James, 1st floor.

There is still no word from police on the suspect, and while the victim’s identity was revealed in Comments made on this website, we have chosen to withhold those until his name is officially released.

We’ll post updates as more information comes in, but for now, we encourage everyone to show respect for the victim’s family and friends, and to try and value life just a little bit more.

According to King County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart, a bar fight at closing time at Burien’s Goodtime Ernie’s Sports Bar & Grill Thursday morning (Nov. 12th) led to the stabbing death of one man, age 25, while his brother (24) was seriously injured.

The victim died at the scene, and the brother was taken to Harborview with stab wounds. He is expected to survive.

The incident occurred about 1:40am at Good Time Ernie’s, which is located at 15747 Ambaum Blvd in Burien, behind Wizards Casino.

According to Urquhart, a fight inside the bar involving several people spilled out into the parking lot where the stabbings occurred.

A Burien man, age 25, died at the scene, despite CPR efforts from Sheriff’s deputies (Burien Police) and then from fire personnel. A second stabbing victim, age 24, and also from Burien, was taken to Harborview.

The two victims, who are brothers, have not yet been identified.

Sheriff’s detectives interviewed bar patrons and witnesses, but no one was arrested.

What prompted the fight is unknown, and the suspect is still at large.

The King County Sheriff’s Department reports that a stabbing early Monday morning left a 21 year-old SeaTac man in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Shannon South Apartments in the 3500 block of South 180th about 4am Monday, Aug. 24th.

Several men were apparently arguing in the lot just before the stabbing, and the suspect fled before police arrived.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with several stab wounds. He was in critical condition when transported, and is a resident of the Shannon South.

The investigation is continuing and no one has been arrested.

The victim, a 40-year-old Tukwila woman, underwent a procedure Saturday after contracting an “aggressive” bacterial infection, according to Seattle police.

According to a police report, the woman was at a barbecue at a friend’s house in the 7600 block of Rainier Avenue South in Seattle on June 29 when an acquaintance asked her to perform a sex act on him.

When she refused, the man slapped her face, removed her boot and stabbed her in the left hand with the stiletto heel, police said. The woman fled, police said.

Several days later the woman sought medical assistance from Swedish Medical Center/First Hill after the wound became infected. Police said the woman was told by medical personnel that the aggressive bacterial infection would require immediate invasive surgery. The woman’s name was redacted from the police report and she couldn’t be reached for comment.

Seattle police said the investigation remains open.

He is the suspect in a stabbing last Sunday that sent two people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Eusebio Hernandez-Espinoza, 41, is the man police believe attacked his estranged wife and another man in the 100 block of Eighth Avenue in Seattle’s Central District.

Hernandez-Espinoza and his wife had befriended the man at a Burien bar before the 4:20 a.m. stabbing (NOTE: we do not know which bar but the fact that it was Burien indicates that he may hang out here).

Officers say the three returned to a Central District apartment, where Hernandez-Espinoza stabbed them numerous times. The man collapsed at the intersection of Yesler and Broadway; police found the female collapsed in the apartment doorway.

Police say Hernandez-Espinoza, who is also known as Nelson Hernandez, may be driving a white pickup truck with a brown or black canopy and Idaho license plates. He has black hair, brown eyes is 5-foot-7 with a medium build.

Police believe Hernandez-Espinoza may be armed.

“That’s why we’re asking people not to approach him,” spokesman Jeff Kappel said. “We want people to watch him from a safe distance and call us to come get him.”
