We got an email Friday afternoon from Lisanna Fox, who says that her niece Tayvaunna Milam, 15, is missing, and that she “…may be in the South Park, White Center, and Burien area. Can you please post her information on your site?”

So we made some calls, checked with the Washington State Patrol, spoke with her Mother Lydia, and confirmed that this is a legit runaway case, so if you’ve seen Tayvaunna (pictured, left), you are urged to contact the Seattle Police Department at (206) 684-5582, or the WSP Missing Persons Unit at 1-800-543-5678 immediately.

Here’s the email request we received from Lisanna:

My name is Lisanna and I have a 15-yr-old niece that has been missing since the 25th of November. Her name is Tayvaunna Milam. The case has been reported to the SPD, WSP, as well as The Center For Missing And Exploited Children. We have been posting fliers throughout Seattle and the surrounding areas. There has been info relayed to us that she may be in the South Park, White Center, and Burien area. Can you please post her information on your site. The information has been approved by all of the above agencies..thank you for any help that you can offer with getting the word out!! Every little bit helps and I think that it is important that our children know that we care and will go to great lengths for them. Again thank you and Happy Holidays.

FRIDAY 6/26/09 UPDATE: Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Department reports that Sydney Wayne Aydelotte was found safe Friday morning around 7am in Auburn, so please disregard the request for help in finding him.

PREVIOUSLY:

The King County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help from the public in finding a missing 57 year-old mentally disabled man named Sydney Wayne Aydelotte (pictured above, and below right), who was last seen at an adult family home in Auburn Wednesday morning (June 24th) about 8am.

Aydelotte is friendly, but appears to suffer from undiagnosed pre-dementia.

The adult home he is missing from is located at 28849 38th Avenue South in Auburn, in unincorporated King County. The man does not drive, stands 5’ 11” tall and weighs about 250 lbs with gray hair.

He was wearing a red shift shirt under a blue sweater and white shoes.

According to Sgt. John Urquhart, Aydelotte likes to collect tin cans, and will dumpster-dive to add to his collection. He possibly will ride Metro buses.

If anyone sees Mr. Aydelotte they are asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (206) 296-3311 or 9-1-1.

BTB Reader Amy Thomson sent us this alert about a dog (pictured above) she found this week:

Found this sweet, lovely dog running loose up 28th Ave. SW near 100th on Wednesday, May 6th around 4:30 PM.

She is red, with one crumpled ear, and an age-whitened face and muzzle.

She had no tags, no license, and no microchip.

She was trailing a leash.

If she’s yours or if you recognize her, please contact me at amy (at) jetcity (dot) com.

She misses her people.

From BTB Reader Ian Gunsul comes this shocking news about a recent theft in the 15700 block of 23rd Ave SW in Burien:

Subject: Jack snatched!!!

Message: Or “Pumpkinhead” as Shawn Underwood dubbed him: Jack has resided in front of our house off and on for a couple of years, becoming a neighborhood celebrity while waving a friendly hello to all passers by.

This year someone of obvious Gaelic bloodlines dressed him up for St. Paddy’s day, so we dressed him up for Easter – some nice person even came by and put bunny ears on him.

But alas, someone(s) couldn’t resist temptation and kidnapped Jack and his giant pinwheel sometime between late yesterday evening and lunch time today.

If you have him, bring him back no questions asked.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, leave it in the comments section.

We got to get Jack back!

From BTB Reader Debbie Sacharoff comes this plea for help in finding her lost blue Samsung Cell Phone, which contains precious photos of her late Mother.

Debbie says she lost it at either Trader Joe’s or the Salvation Army at Five Corners.

Here’s some info from Debbie:

I lost a blue Samsung cell phone on Wednesday, March 25th, at about 5:30 pm either in the Trader Joe’s in Burien, or the Salvation Army store across the street.

The phone is medium blue Samsung flip phone with a silver area in the middle that says T Mobile.

Though it’s a pain to lose a cell phone, what really concerns me is that this phone had photos of my mother on it, who recently died.

If ANYONE finds the phone, has the phone, etc. please email.

No questions asked.

We can buy you a phone if that’s what you need.

We simply really want the phone back with the photos of loved ones. Thank you.

Email Debbie at beesandsac@yahoo.com.

So, if you found a phone matching this description please email Debbie ASAP!

Numerous sources tell us that the Normandy Park Police Department was missing one of its finest…dogs…but then found him Sunday.

Apparently Officer “Rocky,” a two-year old bloodhound who weighs 80 pounds, got out of his handler’s yard Saturday night in Des Moines and went missing for a while.

Des Moines police and King county Sheriff’s officers even used a helicopter in the search.

But all is well, as Rocky is back on the beat and sniffing up bad guys as you read this.

No word yet on where Rocky went, why he took off, or what he did during his AWOL time.

A few weeks back we met a woman at the Burien Farmers Market who claimed to know a lot of things about the missing SeaTac man Nicholas Francisco, last seen Feb. 13th leaving his workplace in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle.

But we don’t like to print speculation or gossip, so we didn’t go with it.

She knew that his wife had filed for divorce, and she said a few things that raised more than just one eyebrow.

But we’re not going to print any of those speculative things here yet…sorry.

However, we will tell you that the mainstream Seattle media is reporting that Nicholas’ wife Christine, 28, has indeed filed for divorce, citing “willful abandonment that continues for a period of time” and a “history of acts of domestic violence … or an assault or sexual assault which causes grievous bodily harm or the fear of such harm” as her reasons.

Christine has a daughter, 4, and a son, 2, and is also pregnant.

More information here, and much more forum-style speculation here and here.

Jordan KingUPDATE: Jordan King, 14, a West Seattle teen with Asperger’s Syndrome, has been found after going missing last night in Burien around 11pm.

This wasn’t her first such incident, as she went missing for three days last month until being spotted at the White Center Library.

According to the West Seattle Blog, at 5:20pm tonight, Jordan’s mother emailed and said that she had been found.

No further details are available at this time.

Nicholas Franciso MissingSEATTLE – Friends and family are forming a search party this Saturday (Feb. 23rd), hitting convenience stores and gas stations from Burien to Federal Way, searching for a SeaTac man who has been missing for over a week.

Nicholas Francisco hasn’t been seen since leaving his workplace at Publicis USA in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood on February 13 at 6 p.m.

The 28-year-old told colleagues he would be heading to a local Safeway and the Southcenter Costco before going home to his pregnant wife and two children.

Francisco’s 1992 Toyota Paseo was found at a Federal Way condominium complex on Monday, but King County detectives say they found nothing to help locate Francisco.

A reward for information leading to Francisco’s whereabouts is up to $15,000.

There is also a public service announcement for him that’s made its way to YouTube and has been viewed over 4,200 times in less than 48 hours:

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.

Saturday’s search party will start Saturday at 11 a.m. at Francisco’s place of work, Publicis in the West at 424 2nd Avenue West in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle:

Nicholas FranciscoA missing SeaTac-area man’s car has been found in Federal Way, according to KING-TV.

Nicholas Francisco, 28, was last seen around 6 p.m. on February 13 as he was leaving work in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood.

His red 1992 Toyota Paseo hatchback was found at the Heritage Condos at 123 S. 340th Street in the Panther Lake area of Federal Way at 10:20 a.m. Monday.

Family members plan to start searching that area and hand out flyers.

Federal Way Police say, as far as they know, Francisco has no connection to the Heritage Condos.

Francisco is about six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a light-blue or off-white button-down short, a black jacket and blue jeans.

There’s a $5,000 reward in the case.

“We just need him to come home,” said Christine Francisco, wife of Nicholas Francisco, who disappeared after leaving his Queen Anne office.

“I am begging everybody, begging everybody to please, please help me find my husband because I cannot live my life without him,” she said.

Deputies also have been pinging his cell phone, but have gotten no response. Nicholas’ co-workers say his cell phone batteries were dead on his last day at work.

Just before he vanished, Nicholas called his wife and promised his 4-year-old daughter, Zea, he’d make Valentine’s Day cookies with her, but never showed.

The Franciscos also have a son, Noah, age 2 1/2, and Christine is pregnant with their third child, due in early October.

“If you can’t find him, these kids won’t have a daddy then,” Christine said in an interview, breaking into tears. “This unborn baby won’t have a daddy.”

In their last phone conversation, from Nicholas’ work phone, he told his wife that he was “signing off on something,” then planned to head home after running an errand at Costco for her.

“He told me he loved me,” she said.

Francisco’s co-workers on Friday combed the streets around Francisco’s work and retraced his route home, hoping to find some sign of the missing man.

“Literally there is no place to search,” said King County sheriff’s spokesman John Urquhart. “What we have to do is our investigative work and try to track him either through cell phone or bank records.”

“It’s not normal for him to make stops, have hangouts or go visit anyone else,” said one co-worker. “He’s a man who comes home after work.”

Christine Francisco said there has been no activity in Nicholas’ e-mail or bank account since he vanished.

Francisco stands about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a light blue and white button-down shirt, a plain black jacket and a pair of blue jeans.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged call 911 immediately.
