Burien’s Glendale Lutheran School is holding a huge, 60+ family sale this Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 9am to 4pm.
No, they’re not actually selling families – over 60 of them are contributing to this fundraiser sale, which will also include goodies and raffle prizes.

Just wanted all your readers to know about our “almost-annual” Masonic Retirement Center Garage Sale, being held Saturday, September 19th, from 9am to 3pm at Landmark on the Sound, 23660 Marine View Drive South, in Des Moines. Info line: 206-878-8434, extension 304.
We’re still in the process of emptying out the Masonic Retirement Center building, which operated from 1927 till 2005. There will be thousand of items spread out over 10,000 sq ft of selling space. Featured items include furniture, kitchenware, office supplies, books, hardware and home improvement items, framed art, luggage, appliances, and much more.
- Cash only, no checks accepted
- VISA and MasterCard accepted for purchases over $25.00.
- All items must be picked up on the day of the sale.
All proceeds go to benefit Landmark Outreach Services, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, which provides care for former residents of the Masonic Home, as well as information and referrals to all seniors in the community.”

The Highline Relay For Life is holding their annual “Relay For Life” Event on Saturday/Sunday June 7th and 8th from 3pm to 9am (that’s right – it appears to be an overnight thing) at Highline Memorial Stadium (map below), to pay tribute to lives lost to cancer as well as raise money to help fight it all right here in B-Town.
They are also holding numerous fundraisers around the B-Town area, and they’ve got quite a few coming up, from an All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Party to Garage and Yard Sales:
