ChoralSounds Northwest kicks off its Silver Anniversary Season in rare style in Burien’s favorite Holiday concert tradition. From favorites such as The Holly and the Ivy and O Holy Night to Dale Warland’s spine-chillingly beautiful new Sommerset Carol, Silver Bells has all the wonderful singing families have come to expect from the CSN Christmas Concert.

As a special treat, beloved Seattle TV icon Stan Boreson (KING’s Klubhouse) joins Silver Bells with his hilarious Scandinavian send-ups of popular Christmas tunes like Walkin’ in My Winter Underwear and Ragnar, the Flat-Nosed Reindeer.

Not to be left out of the fun, CSN plans its own merriment, with unforgettable takes on such favorites as I’m Getting’ Nuttin” for Christmas and Mr. Santa along with a hysterical Thirty-Second Fa-La-La.

To whet your holiday taste buds for this rare show, here are two Stan Boreson songs:

Former Soundgarden frontman and legendary grunge/rock singer Chris Cornell will be making a rare, FREE in-store performance with Timbaland at a Southcenter phone store in Tukwila on Sunday, Nov. 2nd.

WHEN: Nov 2, 2008, 3pm

WHERE: Verizon Wireless Store, located at 17100 Southcenter Parkway in Tukwila (map below); (206) 575-6242

We spoke with a rep at the Verizon store and she said that Cornell and Timbaland will be doing both an in-store meet and greet/autograph session as well as a live performance in the parking lot.

She suggested arriving early (around 2pm), as it’s a first-come/first-served event and they’re expecting a big crowd.

Cornell and Timbaland will be performing later Nov. 2nd at Showbox SODO.

We think this appearance will most likely look and sound something like this:

Yesterday we showed you exclusive video of Gov. Chris Gregoire, and today we’ve got more video of a politician in action – here’s the opening monologue from Congressman Jim McDermott’s stint as Guest Narrator at Sunday’s (Oct. 26) “The Rocky Horror Show” at (BTB Advertiser) Burien Little Theatre.

You may notice audience members shouting as he speaks – don’t worry, he’s not being heckled – Rocky is an interactive show where audience participation is encouraged (and the Congressman’s professional performance was unaffected by it):
