The Des Moines Rotary Club’s 2nd Annual Blues & Brews Fest (our sister site The Waterland Blog is a Sponsor) will be rockin’ Des Moines Beach Park on Saturday, Sept. 10th from Noon – 7 p.m., with a great lineup featuring Left Hand Smoke, Rod Cook & Toast, the Fabulous Roofshakers and Little Bill and the Bluenotes.

100% of the net proceeds of this all-day event will support Rotary’s Music4Life program, which expands music to youth in our local schools.

“Enjoy a day filled with local blues together with a variety of fine brews from local breweries,” reads a press release.

Tickets are $25 in advance (buy them online now here); $30 at the gate. Six tasting tokens included with the price of admission. Cash only at the event; credit cards will accepted on a limited basis.

This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, you must be 21 or older to attend and no pets will be allowed inside the event. No outside food or beverages allowed. Low lawn chairs and picnic blankets allowed. There will be plenty of free parking in the Des Moines Marina.
