This morning marked the 12th annual Clean Sweep event in downtown Burien. Hundreds of volunteers gathered under gray, soggy skies to give the gift of their time and labor to improve their community.
BTB photographer Michael Brunk was out and about the city this morning capturing images from this year’s event. You can click individual photos to view them larger.

A big THANK YOU to all of the people who participated in Burien’s Clean Sweep. It’s events like this that make our town a great place to live. Thanks to all the volunteers who donated supplies and prizes and to all the individuals who served food, signed up people and spent their time to make this event a success. If you missed Clean Sweep this year, mark it on your calendar for 2012. We can always use a few more volunteers.
