Volunteers are needed for a Spring Invasive Weed Removal Work Party at Nature Trails Park, located at ?SW 191st Street and Marine View Drive SW in Normandy Park, on Saturday, April 30th from 9am – Noon.

This is a low intensity use nature park located east of 8th Ave SW and Marine View Drive between SW 191st and Channon Drive (see map link above).

Nature Trails Park is an environmentally sensitive area, with 19 acres of wooded terrain with a creek and a small holding pond. Approximately 40 percent of the area is considered wetlands. A loop trail provides access from a small parking lot. Usage includes trail walking, jogging, nature study, bicycling, and more.

“Bring your own equipment and we’ll provide the fun!” reads a note on the city’s website.
