The work party will run from 10am – 2pm.

Here are more details:

WHAT: Navos is seeking volunteers to help create a healing space for its clients.

Here’s more from an email:

“As we embark on building a new Mental Health & Wellness Center we would be grateful for your support.

Our new building will be the home for our innovative and holistic treatment and support services.

We are carefully designing the new site to promote optimal health, including the garden spaces:

  • Assist in the planting of trees, shrubs and groundcovers
  • Are you a gardener by trade or hobby? Volunteer to be a Team Lead
  • Don’t love gardening or have special restrictions, help us make our volunteers more comfortable by keeping them refreshed
  • Navos will provide all the tools and gloves for volunteers, as well as water and a light snack and lunch
  • You can stay for a couple hours or the whole day
  • Skills: There are no skills needed for this project”

WHEN: Saturday, April 9, 2011 – 10:00am to 2:00pm

WHERE: The location is on Ambaum Blvd in Burien; full project address and directions will be sent to Volunteers by e-mail after you sign up.
