Sina Ghodsee, Man Who Threatened To Kill Police, Arrested In Utah

King County Sheriff’s Department reports that Sina Mehdi Ghodsee, wanted for threatening Normandy Park Police Officers over the telephone, was arrested Friday night (Oct. 22nd) in Salt Lake City after a traffic stop.

Ghodsee, 21, of Normandy Park, has three warrants, totaling $270,000 bail, as follows:

  • Telephone Harassment, King County: $250,000
  • Telephone Harassment, Fife PD: $10,000
  • Telephone Harassment, SPD: $10,000

KCSO says that the felony charges arise out of several calls Ghodsee made to the city of Normandy Park in September 2010, wherein he stated he had a sniper rifle and was going to kill one of their officers, naming him specifically.  He also threatened to kill all of the Normandy Park officers. He made other calls as well, naming officers. Ghodsee also had a MySpace page where he listed the entire Normandy Park Police Department by name under a section called “Hit List.” Included on the page were video clips of a movie showing a man being brutally killed. Above the video clip were the words:

“This is for the Normandy Park Police Department. Finish what you started cuz I’m plotting your day in hell.”

He also made threats to bomb the police station in Normandy Park.

Ghodsee is a former resident of Normandy Park. His mother lived there until recently until she went into hiding because she is afraid of her son.

Although only 21-years old, Ghodsee has a rather extensive list of criminal convictions:

  • Att. Robbery 2nd Degree
  • Assault 4th Degree X 3
  • Unlawful Imprisonment
  • Possession of Stolen Property
  • Burglary
  • Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
  • Violation of a Restraining Order
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Reckless Driving

Im glad he is behind bars. i do, however, find it funny that you list ” Possession of Marijuana” and “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia” under his convictions. ever seen “reefer madness”?

I find this so sad…I rememeber meeting Sina in 7th grade, when he started coming to our youth ministry. He was a hurting, confused kid who had recently lost his father on the operating table. I remember him acting out, being loud and unruly, but also someone who was desperately trying to find his place and meaning. I wonder how many Sina’s there are in our community who need adults to invest in them and help them navigate the craziness of our world.

Thank goodness he has been caught. Now keep him locked up! We are releasing too many criminals with the budget cuts. I am sure that there are many crazy people out there but if we changed our judicial system to “An eye for an eye” the crime rate would go way down. There are too many soft hearted activists out there that just don’t get it. If someone murdered or molested someone they loved they would get on board.

iv known sina since i was in 7th grade and he was in 8th. he used to just be a jackass, towards the end of high school he became a menace. he rebuked all of his friends and made similar death threats to all of us and our families, by voice mail. the police didn’t do anything until he started threatening them….
glad they finally decided to get up and do something about him.

im glad they caught this guy, theres no excuse for these actions, i hope he is behind bars for life

  7. Going back to what ” SINA’S CLASSMATE SAYS”, I totally agree with what you are saying and I myself stated the same thing you did about how the police did not take any action against SINA GHODSEE until he began threatening the police. My life and along with the rest of the people that in SINA”S mind are counted as people who abandoned him and lead him to be the way he is were in serious threat, just as big as the threat to police officers expect we do not carry fire arms or other useful weapons. I actually considered getting a gun because no actions were being taken against Sina especially when he pounded one of my friends doors and was yelling at the top of his lungs that he wanted to kill this friend of mine. I simply think Sina Ghodsee was being used as an informant for police to work off some charges he had in the past, and if you know sina then you know he is arrested on the regular and this is why the police kept him out on the streets. I may be wrong but you will never know what goes on sometimes in the field of criminal justice unless you are working for them. But if police were the one’s held responsible for the so called ACCIDENTAL SHOTS FIRED ON 1ST AVE just so they could have a reason to take Sina into custody, I think that is not a smart decision to stir up unecessary stress for the people living in Normandy Park. As for Sina Ghodsee though. I feel no sympathy for his life and if he ever came to my door yelling he wanted to kill me. I will answer the door with a boot to his stupid face.

    Sina`s other classmate,
That`s what jacketed rounds are for, they go right through a door.

    • sina's other classmate says says:

You can do that and probably get f’d over by the prosecutor anyway and end up serving time or some other punitive action will be taken against you. But if you were a cop on the other hand you can just easily make up a good reason why you had to shoot sina and the jury will most likely believe you since you work in the same system as they do. I could be wrong but I have been watching those CSI courtroom cases and learn a lot from that. But honestly you do not need weapons to take care of sina unless of course that idiot is possessing a weapon then you can fire all the jacketed rounds you want.
