Hello,
Sam, your piece is back with Burien Arts you should contact them to organize that.

Karl, The project was done on a construction site that was put on hold for the economy when we acquired the "lease" on the land there was going to be another condo project built on the property. Because of this the agreement states that the site does not need to be returned to its original state since it was going to be torn up. The B/ IAS project was run by volunteers (not the city) and if someone wanted to galvanize a workparty of volunteers to move asphalt there are probably members of the community that would help.

Eric, As the project was run by myself and my husband we are tired after a long fruitful year of art and 11 events and we did not find anyone who wanted to take over the project, the lease or the liability insurance. I am sure the land owner would love to see something done with it so it does not sit empty. You may want to contact Urban Partners if you want to utilize the site for another project.
thanks, Kathy, co-founder Burien Interim Art Space

It has been a fun ride. Since there is no immediate need for the space, I wonder if thought was put into another year of BAIS?

Hello,
All of the art is going back to the artist. Paradigm Shift, the naked lady sculpture, is going to Vashon to the artists studio. The Passage will be returning to Oakland to sit in a warehouse.
Thanks for a great year, hope we inspired you and we can't wait to see what you, the community, will do next.
Kathy and Dane, founders
